NORTH SHORE LAX CLUB VOLUNTEERS DONATE TIME, EFFORT, FUNDS, MATERIALS TO IMPROVE GWL FIELDS

North Shore Schools, Glen Head, NY, September 4, 2013 - The North Shore School District is proud to announce that Frankie and Maddy Conklin, ninth and tenth graders respectively, competed over the summer at the USA Field Hockey Showcase and were chosen to represent New York in the USA Field Hockey National Tournament. Mr. and Mrs. Conklin commented, “We are very proud of our daughters, as this is a huge accomplishment in the field hockey world.”

THE RYTHYM OF A WEDNESDAY NIGHT AT MEMORIAL PARK IN SEA CLIFF
The Sea Cliff Drum Circle gathered at Memorial Park in Sea Cliff on Wednesday, September 4th. The group meets on the first and third Wednesday each month at the park overlooking Hempstead Harbor and the Long Island Sound. All are welcome to join in.
HEMPSTEAD HARBOR ANGLER'S CLUB SNAPPER DERBY

On Saturday, September 7, the Hempstead Harbor Anglers Club hosted a Snapper Derby. The Club provided bait, assistance, and, in some cases, bamboo fishing poles to the three dozen or so anglers who participated.
