SWAN CLUB SEEKS VILLAGE APPROVAL TO OPERATE AS A FULL SERVICE RESTAURANT

October 12 -- The Swan Club, the catering hall at the corner of Glenwood Road and Scudders Lane in Glenwood Landing is seeking permission from the Roslyn Harbor Village Board to operate as a full service restaurant. Mr. Gregory Trunz, the Swan Club's owner, first made the request at the August 6 Village Board meeting  and then followed up with a letter to the Mayor and trustees.  READ MORE

SELL OUT CROWD ATTENDS SCBC LUNCHEON AT THE METROPOLITAN BISTRO

October 12 -- The Sea Cliff Beautification Committee held its annual luncheon this past Thursday at the Metropolitan Bistro in Sea Cliff - a change of venue from the Bailey Arboretum, where the event had been held in past years. . . .  "Sea Cliff in Bloom" was the theme of this year's event, and photos of the village's beautiful and diverse flora - all by local photographers - were displayed throughout the restaurant, and some available for sale.  READ MORE

The North Shore School District is proud to announce that Tayler Bradford, a junior at North Shore High School, recently received the Shapiro-McCormick Young Woman Leader Award from The Women’s Fund of Long Island. Tayler was nominated by her guidance counselor, Tim Shea, for being a young woman leader who has distinguished herself as A Leader in Efforts To Help Women Achieve Greater Equality. READ MORE
