NORTHWINDS FLAG DAY CONCERT  AT CLIFTON PARK ON JUNE 11 

Northwinds Symphonic Band Performs June 11th at Clifton Park 5PM
 
Flag Day Concert following Spring Fest in Sea Cliff 
 
Please join us for the 5th annual Flag Day Concert for a program of great concert band music presented by the Northwinds Symphonic Band under the direction of East Island resident Helen Bauer and guest conductor Barbara Sherwin.
 
Included in the program will be familiar marches and patriotic favorites, selections from the The Producers, and the music of Leroy Anderson. Northwinds will reprise the commissioned band piece, Introduction and Celebration, by Long Island composer, Raymond Osnato. Members of the band as soloists and featured small ensembles will dazzle the audience with Stars in the Velvety Sky, Clarinet Candy, That’s a Plenty, and Five to Go, all of which will be accompanied by members of the band. Renowned soprano, Stephanie Horowitz will join the band singing big band favorites and will close the concert with God Bless America.
 
Be sure to bring beach chairs or blankets. The rain site for the concert will be the same day at North Shore High School on at 5PM.
