With balmy temperatures more typical of late May than early November, well over a hundred Sea Cliffians turned out at the John Burns Village Green for the third annual Chill Out in Sea Cliff. The musical line up was put together by local mustician and music instructor Frank Ferrara, who over the course of the evening performed with musicians of all ages, many of whom he had mentored, at the makeshift "stage" in front of the Library steps. The brainchild of Village Trustee Ed Lieberman and sponsored by the Sea Cliff Arts Council, the event is a celebration of the community’s local businesses, musicians, and artists. This year, it took a bit of a political turn, as some residents held signs in protest of the Glen Cove Planning Board's recent approval of the amended Garvies Point Redevelopment Plan, providing a perfect backdrop for a News 12 report on the controversy.
