Katie Glassman and Snapshot effortlessly marry the drive of early American swing with contemporary songwriting and breathtaking musicianship.  Their 2014 release, Dream a Little Dream, spent more than four months at #1 on the Roots Music Western Swing DJ charts, and hit #9 on the Folk DJ chart. Katie is a powerful and expressive songwriter, fiddler and vocalist. Her songs explore modern emotional landscapes with sensitivity and wit while providing the band a platform to showcase their instrumental virtuosity.     Already a two-time national champion, in 2014, she won several of the country’s major fiddle contests, including Walnut Valley, in Winfield, Kansas, Rockygrass, in Lyons, Colorado, and the Colorado State Fiddle Championship in Denver. Her outstanding band features Eric Moon’s jazzy but retro piano and accordion, Charlie Mertens’ slapping and thumping bass and Greg Schochet’s 1940s guitar stylings. They are the perfect match for Katie’s formidable fiddle chops and stylish singing and songwriting. From festivals and sold out concerts to the stage atTEDx, this is a band in full swing.
