"A YEAR OF OFFBEAT ARTIFACTS" CELEBRATES VOLUNTEERISM, COMMUNITY, AND QUIRKINESS

September 1, 2014 -- The Sea Cliff Library will be hosting an opening reception for the exhibition “A Year of Offbeat Artifacts” on Sunday September 7.  Sea Cliff photographer Geri Reichgut’s photographic essay chronicles four seasons of the tag sale fundraiser that has set up shop on the village green nearly every other weekend for the past two and a half years.

SUN SETS ON 2014 SEA CLIFF SUMMER MUSIC SERIES

August 31, 2014 -- Perhaps this Summer's Swan Song, both the Sea Cliff Civic Association's Sunset Serenade Concert Series and the Sea Cliff Beach Summer Sounds Friday Night Music presented their season finales  this past week.  John Brady and Brian Schnurman, joined by the Brady Brothers for a few numbers, performed an assortment of folk and light rock at Memorial Park in Sea Cliff Thursday evening; and on Friday, the tuneful teenage twosome made a second appearance opening for, and performing a few songs with, headliner and North Shore Middle School music teacher Bryce Larsen at Sea Cliff Beach on Friday night.  READ MORE

SEA CLIFF SILLY SHAKESPEARE COMPANY TO PRESENT MacNOOOO! ON SEPTEMBER 20

          For over a decade, The Sea Cliff Silly Shakespeare Company has performed “Shakespeare with a twist”- original, abridged and user friendly versions of William Shakespeare’s works to its audience, enabling them to grasp story lines without a full knowledge of Elizabethan English.  Children to grandparents have appeared together in our shows creating a deep sense of community spirit.   On Saturday night September 20, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. (Rain date, Sunday September 21 at 5:00 p.m.) the Sea Cliff Silly Shakespeare Company will conclude the 2014 Performing Arts Season at the Sea Cliff Beach Arts Pavilion by presenting its version of Shakespeare’s Scottish play, MacNoooo!  READ MORE

AUTUMN ATTRACTIONS AND ACTIVITIES AT THE NASSAU COUNTY MUSEUM OF ART

Throughout September and October, the Nassau Country Museum of Art in Roslyn Harbor will be hosting a variety of exhibitions, workshops and other activities.
