BOARD NOTES - NORTH SHORE BD OF EDUCATION
COUNTY CHAMPS
The Sea Cliff Beautification Committee invites all residents and lovers of Sea Cliff to join in its efforts at maintaining and enhancing the Village's beauty. The organization provides a great many services to the community throughout the year. They include: maintaining parks; beautifying and maintaining small patches of greenery throughout the village; adorning the light poles along Sea Cliff Avenue with flower baskets during warm months and evergreen wreaths during the holiday season; upgrading and maintaining the Central Park playground; sponsoring an annual spring plant sale; and publishing a quarterly newsletter, "Field Notes," that offers, among other things, gardening and horticultural advice.
Tying wreaths for the holiday season is one of many ways in which the SCBC works to enhance the beauty of Sea Cliff Village.
In support of these ends, the Committee has held annual fundraisers such as an annual plant sale at St. Lukes each Spring, and a Secret Gardens Tour. If your interested in joining, click on the membership form above.

CAREER/INTERNSHIP FAIR AT NORTH SHORE HS
Plans are currently under way for North Shore’s first Career/Internship Fair, and we invite local businesses and professionals to participate. The event will be held on Thursday, May 1, at 7 PM in the HS Cafeteria. We will begin with a keynote speaker, Suzanne Dagger, acting Director of Career Services at Hofstra University, followed by time for students to go to stations with various career options and get first-hand information from those in their field of interest. The event will be mainly for juniors and seniors, but is open to all. Juniors will be beginning their internship placement process, so if you have an interest in having an intern, this is a great opportunity to meet them. Even if you can’t host an intern, we would value your participation. Please contact Christine Halloran at [email protected] if you would like further information.
