March 3, 2017 To the Editor: I thought I would respond to Dan Maddock's letter of your last issue, wherein he describes me as "currently heading the Civic Progress Party,but he's given a front page article on how wonderful the status quo is in Sea Cliff." A couple of facts need to be heard: 1. I do articles in the Village Bulletin for virtually every issue and have done so going back to Dan's time as editor. Karen Montagnese has been editor for at least two issues and I have done work in both.This latest piece on Sea Cliff is apolitical in nature-essentially providing a word picture for uninitiated residents on how Sea Cliff came to be and how it currently works. March 9, 2017 To the Editor: I am proud to call Deb McDermott my friend. As a 30 year Sea Cliff resident, I had the privilege and good fortune to know Deb and her husband Dan, along with their two children since they moved into Sea Cliff. I‘ve known her in her role as a mother, a devoted wife, neighbor, an active community member and a colleague on the Legislative Action Committee of the NS School District. March 10, 2017 To the Editor: To address the recent transition wherein I was selected as Mayor, I am setting forth the statement I publicly read on December 12th and which has been posted on our village's website. I do this to again set forth the factors that the Board of Trustees considered at that time. But in a larger sense, I want to emphasize that, as your Mayor, I will always endeavor to continuously listen to your concerns and various points of view.
