Concert Sponsored by Frank and Rita Castagna On Sunday, July 26, Morgan Park Summer Music Festival will present Walking the Line, Thomas Michael Cavanaugh’s tribute to Johnny Cash. The concert, which is free to the public, begins at 7:30 p.m. in Morgan Park. Walking the Line presents an incredibly authentic look and sound of a performance by Johnny Cash and his band. The group presents music from every decade of Cash’s long and celebrated career. Thomas Michael Cavanaugh leads this extraordinary musical journey in the role of Johnny Cash. He is backed by a seven-piece band including three Carter Sisters on harmonies. The Walking the Line concert is underwritten by Frank and Rita Castagna. Come on down to Morgan Park and enjoy a wonderful evening of family entertainment under the stars. Bring a blanket or chairs and picnic if you wish. Children are welcome. Morgan Park is located on Germaine Street at the end of Landing Road in Glen Cove. In the event of rain, the concert will be held in St. Patrick’s Parish Hall, Pearsall Avenue, Glen Cove. Morgan Park Summer Music Festival is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization that has been providing free concerts in the park for 56 years. The shows are completely funded through the generous donations that are received from businesses and individuals. Taxpayer money is not asked for nor received to bring this high caliber talent to the Festival.
