SEA CLIFF SENIOR PICNIC

The Sea Cliff Senior Action Committee will hold its rain or shine annual Senior Picnic at 12 Noon on Saturday, June 13, at the Sea Cliff Methodist Church located at Downing and Carpenter Avenues. All seniors of the North Shore School District are invited. Hamburgers, hot dogs, fruit and salads, along with soft drinks will be served. The inimitable John Canning will MC the event along with music and sing-a-long songs by keyboardist, John LaRosa. The picnic is free and no tickets are required. Don’t miss this great opportunity to gather with friends in a great setting. If you need a ride to the picnic, call Claudia Moyne at 759-9251 and she’ll arrange it.

 The Senior Action Committee is appointed by the Sea Cliff Village Board to provide services for Sea Cliff seniors. Members supervise the bus transportation for Wednesday grocery shopping at Stop n Shop in Glen Cove and to the Mutual Concern’s senior lunch program each Tuesday and Friday at St. Luke’s Church in Sea Cliff. Members also arrange for transportation to and from local medical appointments, friendly visits to Sea Cliff seniors unable to leave their homes, as well as handyman and shopping services. Committee members are: Jean Stratford, Chair, Joyce Kaufmann, Alice O’Donnell, Claudia Moyne, Debbie Pierce, Gen Woods, Maureen Maddock, and Ann Castagliola. Village Trustee Elena Villafane is liaison to the committee.
