SEA CLIFF LOSES A WONDERFUL NEIGHBOR: CITIBANK IS CLOSING ITS SEA CLIFF BRANCH
By Carol Poll Basse
Like many of the residents of Sea Cliff, my husband and I are heartbroken that Citibank is closing its Sea Cliff branch. The Sea Cliff Citibank branch is a very special place. In this day and age, when so many of us feel overlooked and dismissed by banks, the Sea Cliff Citibank Branch is different. It is a bank where you can get kindly assistance with financial issues and even get a free Saturday bagel, coffee and dog biscuits. The bank is so very special because of its manager, Carol Ropke, and her wonderful staff. Carol, the manager of the bank is smart, kind, and friendly. Carol Ropke spends hours helping bank customers with financial services. Plus, I have seen Carol offer to drive elderly or infirm customers to their homes when they appear to be having physical difficulty. She is ever ready to assist non-profit groups keep their accounts in proper order. She has nourished local new business by allowing them to post flyers on the bank’s community board. The staff of the Sea Cliff branch reflect Carol’s caring way of helping people. Like her they are extremely thoughtful, helpful and effective. The Sea Cliff branch staff include personal bankers, Lenny Vicciardo, Myra D’Agosto, and tellers Elsie Holzkamp, Jonathan Liddle and Leticia Recinos. The Sea Cliff branch of Citibank will be sorely missed when it closes in January 2017. Carol Poll Basse Sea Cliff NY |
