SEA CLIFF BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP
The death of a loved one may cause one to experience an intense variety of undesired feelings and emotions. These feelings may be difficult to cope with. They can disrupt a person’s life for a very long time. We may turn to family and friends for support, which may not be as helpful as we might need. Family members may also be experiencing their own grief, thus unable to offer much support. Often friends may find it difficult to listen to or understand the emotional pain a grieving person may experience.
Grief support groups can offer a person understanding and help from other members who have had similar losses and coping challenges. To provide support for persons in grief, the Outreach Program at St. Boniface Martyr Church is now offering a bereavement support group. This group, lead by two experienced grief counselors, meets at 7:30 PM on the last Sunday of ever month in the Parish Center at 145 Glen Avenue, Sea Cliff. Anyone coping with the loss of a loved one is welcome to attend the support group. No pre-registration is required. BACK TO WEEKLY |
