KNOWING IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO MAKE A VILLAGE BEAUTIFUL, SCBC INVITES RESIDENTS TO JOIN
August 25, 2014 -- Recognizing that it takes a village to make a village beautiful, members of the Sea Cliff Beautification Committee spent this past Friday morning weeding and trimming the beds at the northwest corner of Clifton Park and at the Sea Cliff Avenue entrance to Village Hall. The organization provides a great many services to the community throughout the year. They include: maintaining parks; beautifying and maintaining small patches of greenery throughout the village; adorning the light poles along Sea Cliff Avenue with flower baskets during warm months and evergreen wreaths during the holiday season; and upgrading and maintaining the Central Park playground. In support of these ends, the Committee has held annual fundraisers such as an annual plant sale at St. Lukes each Spring, and a Secret Gardens Tour. The committee, as always, is looking for more volunteers. If you're interested in joining or just helping out, the Committee will be holding its next meeting on Thursday September 11 at 9 am at St. Luke's Church.
