SEA CLIFF BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE BEGINS HOLIDAY SEASON PREPARATIONS
October 26 -- This past Friday, the Sea Cliff Beautification Committee continued its preparations for the upcoming winter holiday season, with a bow-tying meeting. Beautification members Kathleen Van Bloem, Gen Woods, Mary Miksic, and Laura Kavanagh spent the morning at Marga Crowley's home tying more than 30 large red bows that will be attached to wreaths adorning lampposts along Sea Cliff Avenue and other areas of the village this December and January. Those interested in offering a hand are welcome to join the Committee on Monday, November 18th to continue the work. On December 3rd, the group will be holding its annual wreath-tying party at the Department of Public Works facility on Altamont Avenue at 10:00 a.m. All Sea Cliff residents are invited to get into the Christmas spirit with seasonal music and refreshments while decorating wreaths for display in the village. Anyone interested in helping out on November 18 should call the committee at 671-6942.
