Kim Loewe (b.1973) is a cross-disciplinary artist who's work ranges from painting, drawing, photography and sculpture. Loewe investigates inspiration from oceanside haunts, and the specific objects you may find there, elements of beauty that perhaps were unintended. They are worked into this second life, this new portrayal. These images operate in the abyss of where water ends and the universe begins, and issues symbols with which it can represent or protect that duality. She received her MFA from Columbia University, School of the Arts, New York and her BFA from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and The University of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Loewe is currently a Visiting Artist at Long Island University- C.W. Post Campus, NY in the Department of Art. For additional information, please contact: [email protected] or visit: kloewe.com |
