Sea Cliff Arts Council presents a very special exhibit at SC Village Library. For November and December, the artwork of residents from SCO will be on view. Please join us for the art opening thisWednesday, November 4th, from 5:30 to 7 pm.
Located in Sea Cliff, the Robert J. McMahon Children’s Center (RJMCC) is a Residential Treatment Center providing 24-hour nursing care, social services and a variety of therapies to children and adolescents with developmental disabilities. Our beautiful campus is home to 73 vibrant and talented young people between the ages of 9 and 21 years, who excel in a variety of areas including sports, dance, and as you will see in our upcoming show at the Sea Cliff Library, the visual arts. The Recreation department, and art therapy program at RJMCC are dedicated to using the creative arts to engage and stimulate our youth, while allowing them to explore their creativity, individuality, and independence through art-making. This show will feature a selection of pieces utilizing a variety of media including painting, photography, and mixed-media materials. As told by, Suzanna Shayer, MA, ATR-BC, LCAT (Art Therapist).
