After the weather caused the postponement of its launch the previous week, the Roslyn Farmer's market got off the ground this past Saturday, August 9th, offering a large variety of produce, organic grass-fed meats, jarred jams and relishes, olive oils and vinegars, baked goods and other items for sale. Vendors include Bhumi Farms Delivery of Amagansett, providing organically grown vegetables, Long Island Meat Share offering grass-fed beef and pork from Spring Lake Farm in the Catskills, and Nordic Breads of Long Island City selling its 100% whole grain organic Finnish Ruis rye breads. By 1 pm, many of the baskets were close to bare. The Roslyn Farmers Market is open for business Saturdays through the end of October from 10 am to 2 pm and is located at the intersection of Old Northern Boulevard and East Main Street in the center of Roslyn Village.
