PARADE CELEBRATES THE START OF GLEN COVE'S GOLD COAST LITTLE LEAGUE SEASON

Parade Celebrates the Start of Glen Cove’s Gold Coast Little League Season
 
April 26, 2017, Glen Cove, NY…Baseball and softball season has officially begun in the City of Glen Cove as hundreds of children and their family members came out for Gold Coast Little League's opening day parade.  The children were joined by Mayor Reggie Spinello, Glen Cove City Council members, local legislators, judges and Recreation Commission members.  Local musical talent Richie Cannata played the National Anthem on the sax while Arianna Foy and Julian Codling caught the first pitches of the season from Mayor Spinello and Darcy Belyea, Glen Cove Parks & Recreation Director.   Under the leadership of Ms. Belyea, Terry Dailey and the Glen Cove Parks & Recreation Department, the fields at John Maccarone Memorial (City) Stadium were in top notch shape as many teams played their season opener after the parade.
