AN UNCONTESTED ELECTION FOR NORTH SHORE BOARD OF EDUCATION

April 20, 2015 -- Only two candidates will be on the ballot for the two seats that are up for grabs in the North Shore Board Education Trustees election that will take place on Tuesday, May 19.   While four candidate petitions had been pulled over the past six weeks, only incumbents Herman Berliner and Toni Labbate submitted their's by Monday's 5 pm deadline.  Dr. Berliner, who was first elected in 2009, has served as the Board's President for the past two years. Ms. Labbate, who was elected by her colleagues to serve as the Board's Vice-President this past July, is seeking her second three-year term.  This is the first uncontested North Shore Board of Education election since 2009.
