NORTH SHORE COMMUNITY CHORUS HOLIDAY CONCERT - DECEMBER 3
The North Shore Community Chorus (NSCC), under the direction of Stephen Goldstein, will present contemporary British composer John Rutter’s choral work: "The Gift of Life," a ravishingly beautiful, new composition, based on Old Testament Psalms and original texts by Rutter, at St.Paul's Episcopal Church, 28 Highland Road, Glen Cove, on Saturday, December 3rd at 8 p.m. Rutter's music is very popular, particularly in the USA. His choral compositions include Christmas carols, anthems and extended works such as “Gloria,” “Requiem” and his “Magnificat.”
Featured soloists will be Matthew Koraus, organist at St. Patrick’s RC Church, Huntington; Pianist Timothy Carl, organist at St. Dominic’s RC church, Oyster Bay; Harpist Marjorie Fitts; and percussionists Don Larsen and Alec Massaro. Also featured are the "Musica Schmoozica" singers, directed by Carol Goglia.
