NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS OF EAST ISLAND BRING THANKSGIVING CHEER TO MANY

For the eighth year in a row, the East Island Neighbors Helping Neighbors (NHN) program assisted the Friends of the Glen Cove Youth Board and the Glen Cove Youth Bureau with their holiday “Turkey Drive”.  NHN spearheaded a turkey drive to benefit needy families in Glen Cove.  East Island residents prepared Thanksgiving food bags filled with everything a family would need for a bountiful feast.

The East Island Neighbors Helping Neighbors program was established in 2008 by resident Julie McCann as a way for the East Island community to help their neighbors in need on East Island, as well as in the larger Glen Cove community.  Many thanks to the community for their generosity to those in need.
