MORGAN PARK SUMMER MUSIC FESTIVAL UPDATE

The Morgan Park Summer Music Festival committee had their spring time meeting and sponsorship mail out luncheon at the View.  This important event had committee members organize, stuff and mail out requests for sponsorships for the Sunday summer time concerts.  Along with the Committee and doing the stuffing and signing was MPSMF Chairman Tom Suozzi. During the event Mr. Suozzi updated the members to the schedule and performers of the nine week Sunday concert  series and announced that a tenth Sunday will feature an all-day Folk Concert with many performers on two stages.  Chairman Suozzi stated we have an  exciting concert series that include Richie Cannata, tribute bands to Gloria Estefen, John Denver, Dave Mathews along with the Young Performers concert, Steve Shaiman and the Swingtime Big Band along with the  Second annual praise festival to name several.  He gave a special thanks to all the volunteers but gave a special recognition to Peggy Minnick for her 40 plus years of volunteering.  At the luncheon he presented her with Congressional certificate as well as a certificate from Mayor Reginal Spinello from Glen Cove.
