MADONNA HEIGHTS 36TH ANNUAL LADIES GOLF CLASSIC TO TEE OFF JUNE 13 AT WOODSIDE ACRES GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB
DIX HILLS, NY – The 36th annual Madonna Heights Ladies Golf Classic & Dinner will be held Monday, June 13, 2016 at Woodside Acres Golf & Country Club in Muttontown, NY. The benefit supports Madonna Heights – a program of SCO Family of Services.
Madonna Heights provides an environment that teaches, strengthens and encourages young and adult women to heal from trauma. Located on a campus setting in Dix Hills, it provides 24-hour care in order to address their physical, emotional, and social needs, building confidence, strengthening family bonds and supporting the transition back home or to a new home in the community.
The Madonna Heights School serves young women in our residence as well as girls referred from local schools who need extra support and an individualized academic program.
For women in recovery and homeless mothers and their children, Madonna Heights provides a therapeutic environment and a safe haven.
The Madonna Heights Spirit Award, which recognizes “ordinary women doing extraordinary things,” will be presented to Lloyd Harbor resident Victoria DeLaurentis. Victoria has been very active in the Lloyd Harbor community and has been involved with Madonna Heights for more than 10 years – participating in the Madonna Heights Fashion Show and serving on the SCO Shepherd’s Ball Committee. In 2006, Victoria and her husband Vince received SCO’s Shepherd’s Award in recognition of their support and commitment to SCO Family of Services and Madonna Heights.
The Ladies Golf Classic will welcome golfers to Woodside Acres Golf & Country Club for brunch at 10:30 a.m., and will begin with a shotgun tee off at noon. The tournament will be followed by a reception and dinner at 5:00 p.m. which is open to players as well as other supporters and guests. The theme for this year’s event is “Under the Tuscan Sun”. For registration, sponsorship opportunities or more information, please contact Laura Lopilato at [email protected] or 631.643-8800 ext. 0155.
