A WARM WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL FROM THE NORTH SHORE HIGH SCHOOL PTO

​Dear North Shore High School Community,

​    It is our pleasure to welcome you to the 2017-2018 school year. In appreciation for your endless support, and in an effort to get to know and support as many families as possible, we will be hosting our first, complimentary, HS PTO Back to School Mingle social event, which will be held at Sea Cliff Manor on September 13th at 7:00 p.m.. Please mark your calendar and come join us to catch up with your old friends while making new ones.

​    In addition, we are looking forward to personally greeting upcoming 9th grade families during the NSHS freshman BBQ on August 30th. We hope you will stop by the PTO table and allow us to introduce ourselves. The executive board will also be available to assist you and answer any questions you may have during Back to School Night on September 27th.

    We are very excited and enthused about the upcoming year and it will be our pleasure to welcome your family to our PTO general membership community. We strongly encourage you to attend our meetings and learn more about the exciting ideas we have for the upcoming year. Your fresh input is always welcome and greatly appreciated. NSHS PTO works hard to benefit all our high school students. Please consider supporting the enrichment of your children's education by contributing $20 toward a family membership. For your convenience, the PTO membership and scholarship cards are enclosed. You may also register online at www.nshspto.org.

​    The funds raised from the Homecoming Journal, the "Taste of Spring" event, as well as your membership dues, allow us to enrich our students and school both inside and outside of the
classroom.

Some of many projects funded by the PTO include:
  • Contributing to the Chemistry flip classroom
  • Continuous purchases of courtyard furniture and recreational equipment
  • Guest speakers for students and parents
  • Student events and celebrations
  • Sponsoring the installation of the Andrew Feinstein Learning Center
  • NSHS PTO Scholarship for graduating senior

​    Our first PTO meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 6th, where we will be voting for the 2017-2018 PTO budget. We hope you can attend this important and very informative meeting.
