JOANNA COMMANDER FOR SCHOOL BOARD

I would like to endorse Joanna Commander as a Trustee of the North Shore Board of Education.  As everyone knows, the North Shore Board of Education sets the policies for our elementary, middle and high schools. The decisions that are made by the Board of Education affect jobs, resources, and most importantly, the education of our children.  Joanna has a wealth of experience and has held a number of different positions… a teacher, a coach, and a Director of Health, Physical Education and Athletics.  I have had the privilege to work with her on the North Shore Advisory Board and the North Shore Athletic Booster Club. She is professional, fair-minded, a great listener, and an excellent communicator.  Joanna has the unique ability to see both sides of an issue and approach every decision with an open mind. She has a strong commitment to service and will be able to make strategic choices for the well-being of the district. As a board member she will encourage the community’s trust in the school system and will create a strong relationship with the public.  I am proud to call Joanna a friend and I am thrilled that she is running for a spot on the North Shore Board of Education.
