Letter to the Editor

            I am writing in support of Joanna Commander for the North Shore Schools Board of Education. I have known Joanna for 11 years and find her to be a person of great integrity.  She is an effective communicator who seeks to understand other people’s point of view.

Joanna’s professional experiences in public education as a District Director make her well qualified for a position on the school board. She has a track record of  strong leadership in education, whether that was implementing new programs or serving  as an officer of several county and state committees.

Perhaps Joanna’s most admirable trait is her ability to listen.  She has often been in the middle of very divergent views and it is with great skill that embrace.  It is my observation that this quality is exactly what the Board of Education needs. 

Joanna’s honesty, sense of fairness and her dedication to ALWAYS do what is right for the children make her an outstanding candidate.  I would urge you to join me in electing Joanna Commander as a trustee.
