To the Editor:

          It is both a privilege and an honor for me to write this letter of support for Richard Galati. Richard is running for the position of trustee on the North Shore School Board. I have known Richard as a former colleague and friend for thirty years.  He is married to Dr. Darlene Galati and has four children, all graduates of the North Shore Schools.  Richard recently retired from North Shore High School with over thirty years as a Distinguished Science teacher.  Richard was the recipient of the 2016 North Shore High School Yearbook Dedication Award.  He is a leader in the newly formed NSCASA, a coalition dedicated to preventing drug abuse and addiction with our young people.  He started the North Shore High School chapter of the Science National Honor Society and Science Research Program.  Richard was named the PTSA Teacher of the Year in 2011.    He wants all students to have the opportunity for success and to be able to achieve their goals.  Richard speaks as a former teacher, a parent and an extra-curricular advisor.  He is an individual who cares about education and wants the best for North Shore.  Richard will be an excellent addition to the North Shore Schools Board of Education.  It is with great enthusiasm that I support him.
