READ MORE I ‘ve been using a camera ever since I can remember, and somewhere I still have the tattered old Brownie that was given to me by my Uncle Jay when I was 10. When I got my first digital camera many years ago it seemed to set off sparks in my brain. I became a photographer then, instead of just a person taking photographs. I have worked professionally as a product, portrait and Still Photographer on many films and documentaries, and I have had shows of my work at galleries, libraries and universities throughout the U.S. A selection of my pictures from the World Trade Center disaster, entitled, “Beyond Ground Zero” is on permanent exhibition at the Fire Museum in New York City. My first Still Photography job was on a documentary shot in Egypt in 1999, entitled, “A Hole in Time”, which was bought by the History Channel. Next I worked on several independent films, “The Chumley Factor”, which won awards at indie festivals, then “Mooks”- a lighted hearted mobster flic. Then I served as the Still Photographer and Associate Producer on “Entourage”, which earned a selection at the IFP in 2000. I was the Still Photographer on the award-winning Ground Zero documentary, “Brothers…on Holy Ground” in 2002. Samples of my work can be seen on my website, lenman.smugmug.com.
