NORTH SHORE HIGH SCHOOL HOSTS CAREER AND INTERNSHIP FAIR
By Christine Halloran
The High School held a Career and Internship Fair on April 30 in the High School Cafeteria. There were 30 local professionals present, including attorneys, physicians, business owners, a writer, a talent agent, a television producer, non-profit managers, and a Jetblue pilot. About 100 students, mostly juniors and seniors, attended for the opportunity to meet and interview the professionals to get a first-hand account of what they do and how they got there. The evening began with each professional briefly introducing themselves to the group of students, then Ms. Halloran and senior Vanessa Gungor spoke to the students about the internship program. Students then proceeded to the other side of the cafeteria to visit the tables that interested them. The adults enjoyed the chance to meet our students, and many students came away with a better idea of what they would like to pursue for their future internships.
