RECONSTRUCTING AMELIA AUTHOR KIMBERLY McCREIGHT TO VISIT GOLD COAST LIBRARY
Author Kimberly McCreight, whose debut novel, Reconstructing Amelia, received critical acclaim, will speak at the Gold Coast Public Library Annex Tuesday, Aug. 5 at 7pm.
McCreight’s fiction and freelance writing have appeared in the Antietam Review, Oxford Magazine, Babble, and New York Magazine online, among others. She attended Vassar and the University of Pennsylvania Law School from which she graduated cum laude. After several years as a litigation associate at one of New York City’s biggest law firms, she left the practice of law to write full-time. Reconstructing Amelia is about secret first loves, old friendships, and an all-girls club steeped in tradition. But, most of all, it's the story of how far a mother will go to vindicate the memory of a daughter whose life she couldn't save. Read this timely novel, then discuss it with the author. Copies of Reconstructing Amelia will be available at the Gold Coast Public Library’s Circulation Desk. It is also available as an ebook and a downloadable audiobook through Nassau Digital Doorway. www.nassaulibrary.org/ebooks Friends of the Gold Coast Library will sell copies of the novel and the author will sign them. Registration is required and can be done in-person at the Library, by phone by calling 516-759-8300 or online at www.goldcoastlibrary.org For more information about the event visit www.goldcoastlibrary.org/departments/adult-services Article submitted by the Gold Coast Public Library |
