GLENWOOD LANDING WOMEN'S CLUB RAISES FUNDS FOR LOCAL CHARITY WITH "SHOP AND SCHMOOZE"
This past Wednesday evening, the Glenwood Landing Women's Club hosted a "Shop and Schmooze" at the Community Center on Glen Head Road.
Local vendors set up shop to offer a variety of items and services including handbags, jewelry, homemade candy, specialty clothing, gift items, and even massages. Complementary wine and wraps were offered to shoppers. The Club accepted contributions of food for local pantries, and proceeds raised from vendors fees will be donated to local charitable services for children in the area. Michelle Hagen, current President of the Women's Club, said among other things, the group seeks to help individuals and families through hard times with financial assistance for various expenses such as mortgages, bills, and summer camp. The club also provides scholarships to high school students. On January 9th, the Women's Club will be honored by the Guardian Angel Family Crisis Center's benefit dinner at the Brookville Country Club. BACK TO WEEKLY |
