TEEN COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY AT THE GOLD COAST PUBLIC LIBRARY
Teens in Grades 6-12 can earn community service hours by teaching adults how to use their own electronic devices at the Gold Coast Public Library. Here’s how it works: Teens complete an application and signed parental permission form and drop it off at the Library or email it to Young Adult Librarian Dina Schuldner at [email protected] by January 7; then they attend a mandatory training teen-only training on Thursday, January 8 from 4:30-5:30pm. On Thursdays January 22, 29 and February 5 from 6:30-7:30pm they teach adults how to use their laptops, tablets, digital cameras, iPads, iPods, iPhones, Trackphones and any other digital device they own. Teens may attend any or all of the adult training sessions.
Applications and parental permission forms are available at the Library and online at www.goldcoastlibrary.org/departments/young-adults.
