DOWNTOWN B.I.D. HOLDS ANNUAL
CHILDREN’S COSTUME PARADE SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31st Glen Cove, NY – On Halloween afternoon, Downtown Glen Cove will be invaded by zombies…and superheroes, princesses, monsters, and characters of all kinds as the annual Downtown Children’s Costume Parade gets underway on Saturday, October 31st, presented by the Glen Cove Downtown Business Improvement District. The festivities begin at 12 noon at The Regency at Glen Cove, 94 School Street, with a ‘Scary Story Hour’ and refreshments. The parade is intended for children 12 and younger; and accompanying adults are encouraged to get in on the dress-up fun! Parade registration takes place from Noon to 1:00 PM at Village Square. Line-up is at 1:00 PM at the intersection of School Street and Highland Road in the Staples Center parking lot. After the parade, children may trick-or-treat throughout the downtown at businesses displaying the special BID “Welcome” posters. The Fun Bus offers climbing, sliding fun in Village Square from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. How about a costume contest, and a pie-eating contest? We have them all in Village Square! Marchers must fill out a registration form. These can be obtained, along with applications for the pie-eating contest at the Downtown B.I.D. office at 18 Village Square, or online at www.glencovedowntown.org. We will be assisted by members of the Glen Cove High School DECA Club. Our parade is proudly sponsored by Atria Glen Cove, ClayNation Studios, Glen Cove Cinemas, Intercom Travel, Michael A.
