LETTER TO THE EDITOR
FOUL - OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK
Received From Dan Maddock, Sea Cliff
March 1, 2017 The Sea Cliff Bulletin is printed and mailed to every household in Sea Cliff using tax dollars. But that didn’t stop the administration from loading it with plugs for incumbents. Phil Como is currently heading the Civic Progress Party, but he’s given a front page article on how wonderful the status quo is in Sea Cliff. The Mayor’s Update on page one gives a plug to the sitting Trustees. The Election Day announcement gives the wrong day for the election! Does that favor incumbents? Dina Epstein, an incumbent, has been on the Board for two years. She has never written an article in the Bulletin. But in the March issue she has two, one on the glories of composting and the other on butterfly conservation. As a former Editor of the Village Bulletin, I worked hard to keep it free of politics. It’s a shame the current administration doesn’t feel the same way. Your tax dollars at work. Dan Maddock BACK TO WEEKLY |
