Enter weekly raffles to win gift certificates and items generously donated by local businesses and the Grand Prize by submitting a book review form for every book you read or listen to. The Grand Prize is a basket including a $35 gift certificate to Glen Head Flower Shop, a $50 gift certificate for an adult haircut at Sleek Hair Design, a $5 Value Mart gift certificate, a bottle of Red Rock Pinot Noir from Fine Wine and Good Spirits, a certificate for a 10% discount at Glen Head Kitchens and Baths, a $50 gift certificate to Dutch Girl Cleaners and 10% off at Long Island Leather. After she speaks Friends of the Gold Coast Library will sell copies of Farewell, Dorothy Parker and the author will sign them. Celebrate the end of Summer Reading at a “Wrap-Up Summer Reading Program/Title Swap” on Monday, August 18 at 7pm. Find out which books are worth your time, and which are not, in advance. Wraps will be served and the Grand Prize winner will be selected.
