HOLIDAY READS THIS SUNDAY AT CEDARMERE
The Friends of Cedarmere ring out the year with “Holiday Reads,” Sunday December 7th, from 2 – 5 pm, hosted by poets Liz Axelrod and Stefanie Lipsey. Featured presenters, reading from their work, will include Cynthia Cruz and Gregory Pardlo. There will also be a short open list of readers.
Gregory Pardlo is the recipient of a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship and a fellowship for translation from the National Endowment for the Arts. He teaches at Columbia University and serves as an Associate Editor of Callaloo. Cynthia Cruz’s poems have been published in the New Yorker, Paris Review, Boston Review, American Poetry Review, Kenyon Review and others. She teaches at Sarah Lawrence College and lives in Brooklyn, New York. The program is free, and includes a wine and cheese holiday reception, where you can meet with and talk to the poets.
