THANK YOU SEA CLIFF FOR YOUE SUPPORT FOR OUR BELOVED SEA CLIFF LIBRARY
Received from Carol Poll & Peggy Brucia, Co-Presidents of the Friends of Sea Cliff Library on October 13, 2017
Thank you Sea Cliff for donating and shopping at Mike Lennon’s ”Offbeat Artifacts Sale” a fundraiser for Friends of Sea Cliff Library. The sale was held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 and was a great success. The sale brought in $1309. for the library The money will go towards additional resources for the Adult and Children’s libraries.
Mike was helped by many including his usual “angels” Robbie Nuttall, Jim Campbell, Mimi Leipzig, Jeanne Millspaugh, Roz Poliseno, Carol Poll and Maria Stieglitz. Suzanne Cohen stopped by with her two beautiful children to also pitch in and help. A group of kindly and strong Sea Cliff guys carried and assembled the big items at the sale. The money will go towards additional resources for the Adult and Children’s libraries.
Also to be congratulated for their hard work is Pooja K. Vira for arranging for the seven students who helped carry items out. Seventh graders from the North Shore Middle School included Andrew Fabiillii, Michael Grenelli, Jack Kaufman, Ryan Freund, and eighth grader Chrystal Coleman. High Schoolers Andrew McLellan and Michael Gimando also were there helping out. The students were wonderful. Kudos to Julia Salat the Key Coordinator for North Shore schools who disseminated information to the North Shore Schools students.
Plus, applause for Joanna Greenspon who dropped off things for the sale and Sea Cliff Deputy Mayor, Kevin McGilloway who bought volunteers coffee and cake. Yeh!
But most of all we have to thank Mike Lennon for rounding up all the wonderful quirky artifacts and bringing them to the village green and working hard to sell them and deliver them. It is an enormous job and Mike does it four times a year to make sure the Sea Cliff Library thrives. The next Offbeat Artifacts Sale will be Saturday Dec. 9 with snow date on Sunday December 10, 2017.
