WHY WE'RE NOT REPORTING ON THE NORTH SHORE BOE TRUSTEES ELECTION THIS YEAR
Dear Readers:
On May 15th, voters in the North Shore School District will have the opportunity to go to the polls and cast their votes on the 2018-19 budget proposal and two other propositions as well as for two of four candidates who are vying for a trustee position on the Board of Education. Because Tim Madden, the co-founder, co-editor and writer for Northwordnews.com is one of those candidates, we will not be reporting on the trustees’ election or publishing endorsement letters from supporters of any of the four candidates, nor soliciting responses from the candidates to questions regarding district and educational issues as we have done in past elections.
A budget article we initially published last month can be found on this page (to the right), as can information posted or published by the school district regarding the Meet the Candidates forum and the transportation and capital reserve propositions that will appear on this May’s ballot.
Information about the four candidates can be found on the North Shore School District website or through other local media.
We wish the best to the other candidates - Andrea Macari, Anthony Stanco, and Lisa Vizza. And no matter which candidates you choose to support in the trustees’ election, be sure to make your voice heard by casting your vote on May 15. – Northwordnews
