A Tribute to Rod Stewart Morgan Park Summer Music Festival Sunday, August 14 at 7:30 p.m. On Sunday, August 14, Morgan Park Summer Music Festival presents Blondes Have More Fun, a tribute to Rod Stewart. The concert, which is free to the public, begins at 7:30 p.m. in Morgan Park and is sponsored by Glen Cove Hospital Northwell Health. All the hits made famous by Rod Stewart performed in a dazzling, wildly entertaining show that covers Stewart’s whole career, from rock to disco to the Great American Songbook. Rick Larrimore’s uncanny, spot-on tribute recreates the energy and excitement that have captivated Rod Stewart’s audiences for a generation. Blondes Have More Fun, featuring Larrimore and his seven-piece backup band, have played to audiences across the nation with Stewart hits such as Maggie May, Hot Legs, Tonight’s the Night, You’re In My Heart and, of course, Blondes (Have More Fun). Come on down to Morgan Park and enjoy this very special evening of music under the stars. Bring a blanket or chairs and picnic if you wish. Children are welcome. Morgan Park is located on Germaine Street at the end of Landing Road in Glen Cove. In the event of rain, the concert will be held in St. Patrick’s Parish Hall, Pearsall Avenue, Glen Cove. Morgan Park Summer Music Festival is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization that has been providing free concerts in the park for 57 years. The shows are completely funded through the generous donations that are received from businesses and individuals. Taxpayer money is not asked for nor received to bring this high caliber talent to the Festival.
