In the photograph above, North Shore Board of Education President Dr. Herman Berliner congratulates North Shore Middle School Principal Dr. Marc Ferris.  In addition to the Middle School being the only school in the state to be designated a National and Statewide "School to Watch, Dr. Ferris was recognized as the 2016 Middle School Principal of the Year last month by the Council of Administrators and Supervisors.  The prestigious award is given each year to a Long Island Principal and Assistant Principal at each educational level - Elementary, Middle School and High School.
