29TH ANNUAL JOHN MACCARONE GOLF TOURNAMENT TO BENEFIT GLEN COVE STUDENT ATHLETES

June 15, 2017 … It’s tee time to make your reservations to play in the 29th Annual John Maccarone Hall of Fame Golf Tournament which will be held on Monday, July 17 with a shot gun start at 7:30 a.m. at the Glen Cove Golf Course. Not only will participants engage in a fun-filled day on the course, but all of the event proceeds go towards the John Maccarone Scholarship Fund.  Since its inception, the scholarship fund has awarded over $100,000 to outstanding student-athletes.  As a result of last year’s successful tournament, seven graduating seniors from Glen Cove High School’s Class of 2017 will be awarded $8,000 in scholarship money.
 
The tournament will cost $125 per golfer and the cost includes greens fees, carts, continental breakfast, a gift and a BBQ lunch with Razzano’s sausage and peppers hosted by The View Grill at Glen Cove Golf Course.  In addition to the 18-hole tournament various contests will be held as well. The contests include a chance to win a new car courtesy of North Coast Subaru with a hole in one contest in addition to competitions for closest to the pin, closest to the line and the longest drive. Trophies will be awarded to both men and women, and senior men and women with the lowest gross score. The tournament will also include chances to win prizes through a 50-50 raffle. Tee sponsorships are available for just $80, so local businesses are encouraged to promote their business while supporting a worthy cause.
