December 30, 2016 -- The 26th Annual Christmas Day Dinner was held at the United Methodist Church in Sea Cliff on Christmas Day. For the past 26 years, Terry Sciubba, a member of the Mutual Concerns Committee has organized this very popular dinner for all those who don’t have family nearby, to enjoy a wonderful holiday dinner with friends and neighbors.
Terry enlists local establishments to donate food, and residents are always willing to give their time as volunteers in the kitchen or to sing or play a musical instrument. Everyone looks forward to participating in the annual favorite, “The Twelve Days of Christmas.”
Those who donated food for the dinner were Arata’s, Metropolitan Bistro, Gallagher’s, Il Villaggio, and O’Keefe Plumbing. Those who provided entertainment were: John Canning, master of ceremonies; Sue Giordano, vocal; and the talented Fossett family playing various instruments.
Through the years, more and more people have joined this festive occasion. They look forward to this dinner and entertainment every Christmas. It has become quite the holiday tradition!
